Deconstructing Difference: Discussions of Discourses, Equity and Inclusion

Participants will have an opportunity to explore their perceptions and approaches to inclusive teaching and learning and how they intersect with equity and equality within higher education. Discussions, activities, and reflective practice will focus on dominant ideologies and discourses and the ways in which they inform our understandings, interactions, and expectations of “the other”.

Agnes Gajewski is the Associate Dean, Program Development and Quality Assurance in the Centre for Teaching and Learning at Sheridan College. Agnes holds a PhD in Education and a Master of Teaching from the Department of Curriculum, Teaching, and Learning at the University of Toronto.
